Juan Ramirez Jr., 31, from Pontiac, was recently paroled but was wanted in connection with the stabbing death of another man who was arrested at a bus station in Dallas, Texas.
Ramirez Jr. was arrested on Friday (May 3) at 2 p.m. in the bus station by the law enforcement task force that was working closely with detectives from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

The 31-year-old man, according to police, fatally stabbed Gregory Allen Copeland, 69, of Pontiac.
Officials say the 69-year-old was found in the basement of his home in the 80 block of Ivy Street shortly after 6:30 p.m. on April 27.
Copeland was stabbed several times in the chest and unresponsive when deputies arrived. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials were initially called to the home on the report of Ramirez chasing a woman with a knife who he was in a relationship with, which happened to be Copeland’s niece.
When police arrived, they found the woman, age 32, on top of a carport in a highly emotional and agitated state.
The 31-year-old was released on parole from the Michigan Department of Corrections on Dec. 5, 2023, after serving nearly 10 years for unarmed robbery and home invasion convictions out of Oakland County Circuit Court.
