Man suspected of sexual assault near U of M campus in custody

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A man was suspected of sexually assaulting a person they met on a dating app in a parking garage near the University of Michigan campus is in custody, police said.

The attack happened between 6:20 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, April 28, in the parking structure at Glen Avenue and Catherine Street in Ann Arbor.

Police said a person met up with a man they had communicated with on a dating app. He sexually assaulted that person while they were inside his blue SUV, officials said.

The man is about 22 years old and 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He has a slim build, short dark hair, and a close-cut beard and mustache. He was wearing black pants and a gray shirt.
