ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Munsif Altork, 49, was charged at 14A-1 district court on two counts of assault with intent to murder and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon in connection to a double stabbing involving his 49-year-old wife and a 15-year-old girl.
The incident occurred on Monday (April 15) at 7:30 a.m. at a home in the 2900 block of Braeburn Circle, near the intersection of Elseworth and Platt roads on the city’s south side before the 49-year-old fled the scene.

The wife and the 15-year-old girl were taken to a Metro Detroit hospital, where they were treated for their injuries.
Officials say the 42-year-old woman is in critical condition, and the teen is listed in stable condition.
Altork was given a $2 million cash/surety bond, no 10%. He remains lodged at the Washtenaw County jail.
